Time: 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm

Cost: $250 for six sessions

Level: Intermediate to advanced level
Medium: Your choice (suggested: oil, acrylic, watercolor, drawing, pastel)
Min: 6 people; Max: 10 people
JJ is excited to offer this new, rather experimental, class with you - bringing his years of experience as an artist and instructor to you - offering flexible, targeted guidance and help to each individual. JJ looks forward to sharing his wisdom and insights stemming from his eastern cultural background and his deep knowledge of western art. Please note: this class is focused on those artists working in the realm of representational art in its varying forms.

In his open and welcoming studio in downtown Cary, JJ invites you to take a 6 week journey as an independent study, exploring your creative process in a safe and stimulating environment with other artists under his personalized guidance and instruction. With his patient, encouraging yet straightforward mentoring, JJ will help you expand your vision of your art, see more clearly, and simplify your approach to your work.
As he works with you, respectful of your goals and unique style, JJ will offer advice and insights that deepen and challenge your thinking. JJ will give you personalized critiques on your work during each session not only to help you strengthen your skills and techniques, but also to help you grow in confidence as an artist - his main goal.
Participants may gather at the beginning of each session for a brief discussion or Q&A with JJ before diving into individual painting time while JJ circulates. Participants will be encouraged to circulate and collaborate with each other - learning from each other and offering inspiration. Artists bring their own reference images and materials. As a session closes, JJ may choose to offer a group critique if he sees it as beneficial.
While JJ adheres to fundamental principles throughout instruction, all else is fluid.

PAYMENT AND REFUND POLICIES: Spaces are limited to 10 so register early! A waiting list will be formed if needed. To reserve a place in the class, full payment of $250 is required.
For cancellations more than 30 days prior to the class start date, you will receive a refund minus a $75.00 non-refundable registration fee. Within the 30 days prior to the class, no refund will be issued unless someone on the waitlist can take your spot.
If the class is cancelled for any reason, a full refund for the class cost will be refunded to you.
JJ Jiang Fine Art and the Village Art Circle Studio & Gallery assume no responsibility for any illness or injury resulting from workshop participation. All students accept full responsibility for their personal health.
